It was very grass roots. I used a hand me down 5-light tungsten kit from Arri. It included a 1K, 650, 300 and 2 x 150's with only two usable chimera soft boxes. I've since added led lights to my arsenal for my corporate/regional commercial work, but truth be told, I still prefer the look and feel of the old lights, and pull them out on almost every shoot. Thanks again for all of the seminars! I'm so grateful to learn from some of the masters of filmmaking!! less
About Me
I left home at 17 and moved to Mt. Vernon, NY, with the dream of becoming a full-time artist. Starting out in a work-scholarship program as the janitor at Broadway Dance Center, I slowly built a career as an actor and voice actor. I sustained this for many years, but always harbored a fascination with being behind-the-camera. After years of shooting stills on the side, I rolled the dice and applied to the ASC’s first commercial masterclass. With a stroke of luck, I was accepted. From that date forward I embarked upon a journey to refine my light shaping skills, a passion I now pour my heart into daily. Humble. Kind. Here to serve.
